Paul has BA Degree in Hotel and Catering Management from Strathclyde University and is a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants. He has over 38 years experience in the accountancy profession.

He started his career with Stoy Hayward (Now BDO Stoy Hayward) in 1979 and then moved in the mid 1980’s to a firm of Chartered Accountants based in Essex, where he was one of the main fee earners and senior managers.

In December 1999 he and Simon Bristow set up their current practice. Paul and Simon also worked together at a previous practice and have known each other for over 30 years.

Simon is a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants and is also a Registered Auditor. He has over 30 years experience in the accountancy profession.

After working for the security services, Simon started training as an accountant in 1986, and has worked in three practices before setting up practice in 1999 with Paul Gillies.

His main areas of expertise are in corporate accounting, auditing and compliance.
